cheers to old lusso!

so yesterday (saturday, september 22, 2007) was the last day of
business at 'old lusso' (12a n meramec).
after 5 we sat down and had a lovely glass of wine, a surprise
delivery by the wine merchant (thanks kasey!), and got a little weepy...
we laughed and cried, talked about all the friends we've gained, how
wonderful the last seven years (yes 7!) have been and how we're all
so glad to have been a part of this journey. all the fabulous
parties, all the art fair craziness, a great run in a fabulous place.
thank you, everyone, for feeling at home here, and making this not
just a great place to shop, but a nice place to hang out too.

Lusso Moving - a few tag sale items

ok, so its official - we ARE moving- here's the scoop:

this saturday - sept 22 is our LAST DAY at 12a n meramec 

we are HOPING to be open thursday oct 11th - if all the stars allign and the concrete street & sidewalk get poured!

at 165 carondelet plaza - by the fountain, across from lucianos, the plaza building, and the ritz.

our phone, website, and email should all remain the same!

so, for our last few days here, we are having a tag sale on a few items that have been asked about over the years-

if you want to stop by thursday thru saturday here's a list of floor samples that are not making the move: 

the super soft rugs - 5x7 = $250 and  6x8=$350

the coffee table =$ 312.50 

the long hall table =$ 286.50

the cranberry chairs =150 (each)

flyo lip gloss cubes - 2 bucks each 

if you can't make it, but think you might be interested call us, we will mostly like be 'around' and checking phone and email messages!

We're Moving!

ok, so its a GORGEOUS day in the lou.  perfectly blue skys, cool breeze, the scent of autumn...  YEAH!  i'm soooooo ready for fall!

i love sweater and jeans weather!  we've been getting great sweaters from laurie b. and skif,  lots of charcoal and black (THE colors of fall!)  and some cute add down, a coat and a vest, expecting more from italy any day.  more beautiful grey and black from nanette lepore, too.  plus, you know we get loads of jewelry in for art fair.  maggie nola, melissa joy manning, anne sportun, marcia moran, double happiness...

anyway.... big news if you haven't figured it out, or didn't see it in the windows at the shop during art fair this weekend - its true!  WE'RE MOVING!

our beautiful new digs are being completed as we speak.  don't stress - its only a few blocks, and we're staying in clayton!  its the awesome new crescent building, just across the fountain from the ritz, luciano's and the plaza building.  we'll let you in on more of the businesses joining us at the crescent later.  

for now here's the details you need to know:

our new address is 165 carondelet plaza

we'll be open on meramec until aproximately saturday sept 22nd.

we'll probably be closed both places for about 2 weeks to facilitate the move.

we're planning (keep those fingers crossed) to be open at the new shop monday oct 8th.

don't worry, no big changes in merchandise, just lots more of all our favorites, and a few new fabulous designers, too.

our new space will be just as gorgeous and homey as this one, but also more spacious, and little more 'green' if you know what i mean.

so keep your ears open, we'll be letting you know more info soon.
